Appear is a collage based experimental animation with the main theme reflection. It is about the two representations of the self. The difference in how I see myself and how people see me. How I appear in the world.

In this video I explore different movements, lighting, and shutter speeds to get this message across. I modified ‘Il Trovatore: Vedi! Le fosche’ from Giuseppe Verdi to support the visuals with a disturbing and uncanny sound to class with the reflecting images on screen and to emphasise the clash between the two representations.
